Weki Meki's Kim Doyeon has been confirmed to appear as the younger counterpart of actress Jun Ji Hyun in tvN's upcoming drama Mount Jiri.
This is good news for Kim Doyeon's avid fans! The K-pop star joined the brand new drama Mount Jiri. According to reports released on Feb. 23, the celebrity recently finished filming for the drama.
Upon hearing this news, Kim Doyeon's agency, Fantagio, confirmed the news stating that it is indeed true that Kim Doyeon will appear in Jun Ji Hyun and Ju Ji Hoon's forthcoming series.

Mount Jiri is a mystery drama that stars talented actors namely Jun Ji Hyun, Ju Ji Hoon, Sung Dong Il, and Oh Jung Se. It is helmed by Director Lee Eung Bok and penned by screenwriter Kim Eun Hee.
The drama will center its story on the group of rangers and other employees of Jirisan National Park who climb up the mysterious and unexplored regions of Mount Jiri, which is known as the largest mountain on the mainland of South Korea. They are on a mission to rescue lost trekkers and survivors.
Jun Ji Hyun will portray the character of the top ranger at Mount Jiri National Park named Seo Yi Kang. She has vast experience in navigating Mount Jiri National Park which makes her very useful in the mission of tracking down lost individuals.

Ju Ji Hoon, on the other hand, will portray the character of Kang Hyun Jo, the rookie national park ranger and the partner of Seo Yi Kang. He is a military academy graduate, an ex-lieutenant who had a tragic experience in Mount Jiri, which led him to become a ranger. He also harbors a deep secret.
Weki Meki's Kim Doyeon is set to portray the character of Seo Yi Kang during her younger days. Fans are excited to see Kim Doyeon's acting abilities and are looking forward to her performance in this much-anticipated drama, most especially since she will portray the younger version of Jun Ji Hyun!

Kim Doyeon was born on December 4, 1999. The 21-year-old idol-actress became widely recognized as a contestant on the Mnet reality show Produce 101, as a member of Weki Meki, and the special unit WJMK under Fantagio and Starship Entertainment.
The talented young star made her debut in the drama Short where she portrayed a supporting role. She was also part of the cast of Shoot-out Mart War alongside Cha Eun Woo, Park Soo Ah, and many more.

As the cover star for the magazine’s upcoming issue, Kim Doyeon first revealed, “I don’t usually dress in a feminine style, but there are days when I want to, due to the weather or my feelings.” She also shared a fashion tip, saying, “I think romantic and chic bags look good in the springtime.”
Weki Meki recently made their second comeback with their mini album “Lucky.” Kim Doyeon commented, “Our comeback plans were pushed back once. I think that’s why I was able to feel more affection [for this comeback]. This album isn’t something our company made us do, but it’s one that we thought about and prepared for ourselves. We want to hear people saying that Weki Meki’s songs are good.”
Kim Doyeon was asked about having a lot of female fans, to which she replied, “I think it’s because I don’t pretend to be innocent. My face doesn’t really have fine, lovely lines, which a lot of female fans seem to like.”

Finally, Kim Doyeon shared her thoughts about entering her 20s. She revealed, “I’m going to be busy with album promotions for the time being, so I don’t think I’ll be able to feel that I’ve turned 20. There are many things I need to do these days, so I think about how I need to do them all well.”
